...and it sucks! I saw some HW stuff at the Dollar Tree last weekend and I realized how hard it will be to NOT start buying stuff again and replenish.

I wonder if haunting from one rubbermaid bin could be a decent thread? I went from having an entire 1 car garage spot jam packed with animatronics, fencing, bins, etc etc... to one, maybe two Bins now.

I will be living vicariously thru you all for the next couple months. I have been avoiding this site so much lately after practically living here for a few years way back when.

I only have two bins of Halloween decorations because I lost most of my stuff to flooding TWICE (two years apart).

Sorry, I can certainly understand how that feels. I lost an entire storage unit when the economy took a turn for the worse a few years ago. Halloween props consisted of about 1/2 of the 10 x 25' storage. The rest was family heirlooms...mostly antiques. Not to mention a good deal of parts for my race car. That debacle cost me a mint. :/

Sad thing is, your 1 or 2 bins worth of stuff is probably more decorating than most houses put up.

You could always hit a few garage sales and thrift stores and see about picking up a few extras for cheap. It's hard trying to go cold turkey.

That's just it... we can't get anything else. My company is moving in January and our house status is...pending. I intend on enduring a crappy commute for as long as possible, but we are faced with the strong reality of apartment or condo life based on the location of the office downtown.

We had already downsized tremendously with the last move and our family has doubled in size. Oh the sacrifices we make! I will have my trusty haunted mansion window ghosts and 2 projectors... thinking about borrowing a ghillie suit and just scaring the kids this year.

I think that is a fantastic idea! Scaring kids always makes me happier.

Always fun to be had with the Ghillie, no doubt :P Sorry to hear about the condo/apartment situation. Maybe you could volunteer at a charity haunt while you're living in such unfriendly haunt territory?

True, but making the big tough guys pee themselves is even more fun

    This was my thought
Hell turn the inside of the condo into a walk-through haunt for the city kids. Theme each room and do a simple 3 room haunt with actors. This could be done from 2 boxes of stuff and some creative recycling collecting.

GL either way and sorry to hear. I to downsized and gave/sold lots of my big/med outdoor scenery to new homes.
