Just paid for a trip to New Orleans this week. Gonna be staying in a "haunted" mansion in the Garden District. I am excited about visiting the graveyards and seeing the Mansions, was told its gonna be a party all weekend long into Halloween. I did New York City the last 6 years, this should be a good change. If any of you all know any must sees, I would love to hear them.

The boo krew will have a parade that weekend.. have to say i am a little green with jealousy at the moment. Was there last year had a blast..theres a vampire lestast ball saturday night too i think. I like lafayette cemetary but you should see st. Louis number 1 for sure. Got a few tombs where there is tons of stuff left for"vodoo" practices. Drink a handgrenade for me...

Just make sure the Saints aren't playing that weekend. Last year, some people tried to reschedule Halloween on account of football.

Haunt Tours There! –

We took several when we were there about 12? yrs. ago? Very interesting and even historical.
They walk you around the French Quarter and recite items they say came from old newspaper clippings. Very possibly they do!
I had some thoughts concerning certain buildings when I was there, then on the tour I discovered I was right to feel those odd, scary vibes!
"That's the building! That's where it happened !"
(ESP works sometimes)"My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

If u want some good haunted houses try the Motuary which is pretty close to down town and the house of shock a lil further away but not a bad cab ride.

It's a museum but the Hermann-Grima House is decorated for mourning from mid October to November. They have the parlor set with a coffin and the house is set up to reflect Victorian era mourning.
