Thread: Halloween birthdays

One thought that struck me as curious, was wondering how many haunters have birthdays on Halloween (like myself), or near it? Family & friends included also. Did that influence you? Or was it simply love of the day?


I'll kick this off. For me it was combination of the two. Being my birthday, and a love of the spooky eerie things. I was a big horror buff growing up, and that's not changed much (if any) over the years. Actually, it was my ex's kids that got me into yard haunting all over again, and I've been at it ever since

So what does it for you with this holiday?

My birthday is November 7th, and no it had nothing to do with my love of Halloween. I never had a party (Halloween-themed or otherwise ) so it never even occurred to me that my parents could have been doing that all along until I was already an adult.

I guess I'm making up for lost time?

Oooh, sorry to hear that. For me, what killed it until I actually had kids, was having the same themed parties year after year. From age 13, it took me nearly 20 years to want another one

Mine's September 11th.

Yeah.

Not only well short, but the on the day of a current national tragedy. I turned 13 that day.

Shyeah.

My dog's birthday is on the day before Halloween. Well, the day we adopted her. Yep, poor puppy moved into a house with a yard full of skeletons. No wonder she's so skittish, all those strange faces watching her from day one.
She's my favorite, though. She's black and white and looks great in Halloween bandanas.

@njwilk: Lol! That's to funny! Scaring the poor pup to death on the maiden voyage into the new home. Right after her birthday, no less!

My paternal grandpa was a Halloween baby, but it has nothing to do with my love of Halloween.

oct 2nd here. i think i'd love halloween even if my birthday was in another month

January 4th... But it's become tradition to get me Halloween themed presents!

We bundle my aunts and fiances birthday party into the Halloween party. My fiance is the 29th , my aunts is one of the days before it but dont recall exactly. Maybe the 28th.
