Thread: 2011 Finds at 99¢ ONLY STORES

Since Dollar Tree has some halloween out in many locations already, I decided to check out the 99¢ ONLY STORE in my area which had some great stuff last year, only to be disappointed. Nothing yet. However I did find these two items that will useful in my props:

This little "green" man stands 5-1/4 inch tall and has a moveable head that turns right and left and arms that rise to head and lower to the sides. Should look great in a specimen jar for my alien theme. Saw in 3 colors: brownish (as shown), green and a orangey-red. Will probably add green to my lab so I have a male and female version. The positionable arms and head will give a varied look if you use more than one.




I found this Calypso synthetic hair braid material at Dollar Tree last year, but haven't seen it in my DT lately. Glad to find it at 99¢ ONLY STORES. The #4 is a dark brown and the 1B is black. Those were the only 2 colors I found on the shelf but I know that Calypso makes other colors (think they are also sold at Sally's Beauty Supply Stores). Nice quantity and length of hair for prop making. Can't beat the price.
