We have a lot of little rooms in our old house so I figured it is best to start on the ones we don't use. For the actually haunt/ party I will initially turn off the lights and just have the PVC candles on. But when party attendees are just hanging out they may want to turn on the overhead light. Do you think the blue light is good or should I consider a regular 60W bulb?

This year I plan on having each of the main rooms in a different color. Living room=blue, dining room=orange, hallway & kitchen=green and maybe the bathroom in red (not sure yet about doing the bathroom. I feel like I should have at least one room with normal lighting lol) I think something as simple as changing the lighting will make a big impact. Last year I had our regular lights on, with some Halloween light up decorations here and there...and it just didn't give off a spooky enough vibe for me.

Intentionally altering the color of the lighting from room to room is a cool idea. Actually, I will be unintentionally doing that because there is a little room right next to the one shown that I plan on painting red (Amityville Horror style). Thank you for the idea.

Blue definitely, but first try a fluorescent Black Light fixture.

we always use colored bulbs the night of our party. Go blue definitely.
