I broached this subject a while back and was shot down but it won't leave me bwain. I want to haul out all of the props to the back yard and hold a party... in July. I think not calling it Halloween will be the trick but what to name it? I was thinking A Dead Drunk Evening or Hot and HauntedA think a good name will go along way to its success. Costumes? Hawaiian shirts?I don't know but I hate how short the haunt season is.
Just think, no rain worries, the chilled fog will hug the ground on a warm night and best of all, the props will be out and ready to touch up for October (after I sober up.)
So, anyone have a good name?

Dead of Summer, excellent octoberist and Hot and Haunted conjures up those sexy police woman, French maid costumes... Oh! It is a good name. The thought of zombies lounging in Hawaiian shirts with umbrella drinks just cracks me up.

LOVE the midsummer nights idea! That would be absolutely perfect! I had thought about doing the same thing this summer...unfortunately we've (both the hubby and I) have been SO busy with other things I don't know if we're going to be able to make it happen. *sigh*
Keep us updated as you get things planned! Can't wait to see some pictures!

Midsummer Nights Scream sounds cool, or how about a 'Scary Fairytale' theme, using the film Gothic and James Herberts book' Once' (a fairytale for adults)or any Brothers Grimm story/ies, as they're all a bit twisted, for inspiration?
