I'm just curious, what kinds of themes are people doing this year for their haunts?
I usually have my theme picked out by January, but this year, I'm at a total loss.

My hubby and his friends have been begging for a zombie based theme, and despite the fact that I am really not inspired at all by zombies, I agreed to it. However, now, we can't seem to land on a theme in which to put those zombies, and it's killing me! I am sure I'm going to have a TON of work to do, because it's already July and we don't have a theme yet. lol

But, they wanted a zombie theme, so they are getting a zombie theme... I just can't think of a way to decorate the house that will be fun or inspiring to go with the idea. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm interested to see what other themes people are doing, maybe I'll get some inspiration!

I never really have a theme. I just put out my simple decorations each year and buy more things to add. As for costumes, I'm thinking zombie Frida Kahlo!!

Four Funerals and a Wedding. The centerpiece will be a bride wearing a black widow costume, marrying a ghost in an al-white tux. The ringbearer will be in white, the flower girl in black, etc. The funerals will be for her ex-husbands.

Mordessa, my advice is don't focus on the zombies, focus on the theme. Pick an idea that inspires you - a prom, a graduation, a carnival, an apocalypse, a camping trip, a science experiment, a necromancer raising an army to the dead, whatever - then populate it with zombies.

If I may proffer a suggestion, how about Voodoo Zombies? That's my theme this year. It would different from every other zombie haunt on the planet, but would still utilize your original theme.
Some men would like to play God; I'd rather play the Devil...

I'm doing a Zombie Park this year. I'm building some of the props now. I have the swingset just about complete. The Merry go round is next on the list. Still have the slide & monkey bars to build but it's comming along. The park will have a pic-nic area and playground type props. This will all be situated next to the graveyard...

Welcome to my world where it's Halloween 365 days a year!

I'm into witches every year - but I have an assortment of decorations and props. I stick to the usual stuff vampires, ghosts, gravestones, and lights - lots of LED lights!
    Is it Halloween yet?

That would be us too. If I changed themes every year I don't know where I would store all the stuff.
