Man, Sidanami, you sound like the type of neighbors I'd LOVE to have! Right now we have an Engineer and his wife on one side of us who camp out at our place all Halloween Night because it's "where all the action is". Also, they don't have to pass out treats if they're at our place. On the other side we have a Cardiovascular Surgeon and his wife who demurly dim the lights on the big night. But that's OK because we have a massive plume of fog obscuring their house anyway!

Two of my neighbors gave me their yards last year. The neighbors across the street have two young boys who were very enthusiastic about helping me work on props and carry stuff. I built them a viking pirate ship and they had a great time "defending" it from all invaders while their folks handed out candy. Next door neighbor gave me his yard a week before Halloween, way too late for me to include it in my planning but I was able to spread out the stuff that normally goes in my driveway. He did not give out candy but the kids didn't seem to mind since it looked like it was just one big yard.

I live in a townhouse and seem to be the only person in our row of houses that decorates. The townhouse I share a front yard/gate with we are lucky enough to know (my husbands cousin) whom has given me permission to take over his half of the yard, should work out well this year, last year was my first year and hadn't had much decorations to take over his side of the yard...but this year....definitely will be!!! and the people on the other side of me are renters, didn't mind the fog machine drifting into their yard/windows...
