What type of layout are you going to do? Theme wise?
If you trust your packing you could pack some paints and styrofoam/rubber balls and paint eyeballs. Get some fake hair and hot glue gun. Touch up cheapo masks with the paint and glue on hair, eyebrows, beards.
Bring some music cd's and cut your own music on a dvd/cd for your haunt. You can make plenty of disks with different themes for different areas of your haunt or for next years.
Get a vsa (sp) and hook it up to your laptop if you have one for travel. Work on putting in routines and then hook up led eyes and have them blink, stay on for some length of time. Get use to running the program (unlike me lol).
If you like to hand sew, make some costumes for your props if you have space in checked luggage.
Think of all the little things in a haunt that puts it over the top and detail them. Just a few suggestions and I hope they help.

Hey you could maybe make some pvc candles. I don't know if you can carry around that can of stuff you fill the pvc with on a plane since it's an aerosol can but you could cut the pvc to length before you leave and then just bring a hot glue gun and some paint to make it look more old. It's a start.lol. Hope this helps.

Here's some of the things I do when not at home and I just can't keep from dwelling on my Halloween plans. I review, my inventory (got it in an access database), inventory that I will need batteries for and things like that (all on my laptop). Work on invitations or any type of plans, paper props etc. There's just not that many things you can carry on a plane. If you can get the supplies in a carry on or a brief case...well there you go.
