... candy at Costco now?
It is ~$12 for 30 full sized bars (Hershey Milk chocolate, Reese's, Kit Kat (assorted.)
That's about .40 a piece. Good deal? If so... should I freeze it- or will that turn it white?
Deal or No Deal?

I'd say deal! Freeze it in freezer bags and it should be fine.... I have frozen eastr chocolate from like three years ago and that still looks fine!
(not that I recommend keeping it for three years!)

Hmm I dont knw abt that. Im sure you could though. Your like me . We buy our soda and beer chips and wine all in the summer months when they go on sale for our Halloween party. You save a ton of money buying in advance this way.

Working in the food business, I woudnt freeze candy bars for that long. Actually, I wouldnt freeze candy bars at all. It's one thing to keep a bag in your fridge for a bit, but not long term freezing. Things like chips and pop have a shelf life that will keep for awhile as long as its still sealed/unopened. You can find deals on those size bags at WalMrt and Target at Halloween. I wouldnt go grabbing right now.

Its a deal but a tad bit early if you want the freshest tasting candy! Go with your first instinctive thought, this way you are not disappointed in your decision!

Shouldn't there be an expiration date on the box of bars? If there is and it has plenty of time I would go for it but I wouldn't store in the freezer...just keep in a cool dry place....just like the store does! Wish I could find a deal like that!

just because you don't buy it today doesn't mean that that's not going to be the same candy on the shelf in three months. The candy should have an experation dat on the package like Deadna said. Also don't freeze it because if I remmeber right it changes color and that might freak out the Tots. Just stick the candy in a cool place so it doesn't melt before Halloween. I bought a bunch in June a couple years ago from a great sale....tasted fine on Halloween

Personally I wouldn't do it. It's too far out. Also our local grocery stores often do buy one get one free on candy near Halloween. This usually turns out to be cheaper than the cost club prices.

What about gum? –

What about gum, suckers, gummies, sours, etc?
I have to start buying early this year. I can't even imagine how much candy I will need. I usually go all chocolate, as I want the TOTs to have a great Halloween, but this year I will get hundreds of TOTS.
I thought of buying early, but now I wonder...
