I've been DJing for several years; I'm DJing in clubs now! my question is, when do places start booking Halloween events and when do I start sending out demos and stuff for that?

I'd imagine now. That's when most of us here start reeallly working & worrying about Halloween & the earlier the better, especially if you're planning to work at a club.
Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, the best damn little band you should be listening to!

well I'm mostly after the big Halloween bash at the community center up the street.
And what I play is, y'know, house, techno, rave music...but I'm sure I could dig up some Halloween tunes. there's lots of scary spooky dark techno out there. thats my idea of Halloween music

Just post your services in your local classified ads online or in a newspaper. I'm sure somebody will reply to the ad. Maybe create a demo on YouTube and provide the link for your services. Best of luck to you!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..
