I just took a walk in the woods this morning It's a cool springs morning here in the north east. And as I close my eyes and listen to the noises of the natural world that surrounds me, I can truly sense why our ancestors feared the unknown. Just as clouds formed silly shapes in our minds eye so can tree bark and tree limbs take form of a horrificly twisted human shape. Just imagine rushing to your home at sunset trying to beat the departing day. Only to be confronted by oddly formed shapes in a dimly lit wood. All of your senses must be at their peak, for every sound and sight and odor is exponentially amplified by fear. So folks if you're looking for halloween ideas, and you need some inspiration. Just take a stroll through the woods off the beaten path of course, clear your mind and let your imagination do the rest

You should try that on the deer lease in Mississippi now that is spooky at night. We were just discussing ideas for our haunt and are thinking about only letting one person through at a time and maybe only with a glow stick and no other light. Just imagine being told you must go into the woods or a haunted house alone and with limited light. SCAAAARY!!!

Makes me want to take a walk in the woods. I agree with the previous 3 posts, beautifully said.
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

Well my fellow Jerseyian, its also important to remember that back in the Yee Ol' Times people had no ways to remedy poor eye-sight and also drank heavy amounts of beer because the water was poisonous.

But I do understand your point.
