For the past two years I've decorated the house with a large tower between the two dormers. I'm currently planning a remodel for next summer that will permanently add a tower (several, actually) to the front of the house.

Here's a link to that thread, if you're interested.

With those plans in motion, I'd like to do something different this year. Sort of a break from the tower theme so I can do something else.

So, if anyone has any suggestions, please post them.

Oh, and here's a pic of my house in the off season.

I did have one idea. A spider attack theme using the giant spiders I'm building right now. I can put two or three up on the roof and maybe put a fourth on the side of the garage or leaning over.

Is your sidewalk made of pavers or concrete and did you put it in that way just for ToTs to walk on?

You do such a great job on your haunt, that I can't think of any ideas. I know lots of folks in my haunt group are going to try projectors this year

Spider Attack lead by the Spider Witch. A Scare FX cauldron stirring witch has spiders crawling from her bubbling brew that grow in size as they head to the house. They could leave a web trail and spider victims in their path. Can you tell I like spiders?

If you're going with the spider theme, this was posted by Cloakone last year

I built the path last spring so we could use it every year for the yard haunt waslk-thru. It's also just nice to have as it helps define the yard and it looks nice.

When I built the brick path, I buried a framework of schedule 40 piping so I could run two buried foggers and have fog come up over the path.

Here's a link to the original brick path build.

maybe even have some of them with doll parts too and corps some out with hanging flesh like they are morphing into the skelletal stages...and bones and doll parts piled up by the cauldron along with potions on a shelf or table with creepy spell book.

How did the fog work out for you?
