Ok, so I am making a tombstone, and on the top of it will be a little boy cherub statue. The idea is that it is a stone for a dead infant. I was thinking that for the inscription I'd write: 'Weep not Papa and Mama for me, I am waiting in Heaven for thee'
But then I thought, well maybe that's not creepy enough.. so I thought what if instead of Heaven, I put the other, hotter place
Do you think that is pushing it too far? Is it offensive?

well i think it would be interesting, but you should think about your visitors. Most people are offended easily enough anyway. So it really all stands to how much you want to fight for it.
(but then there are those that believe that when infants die they automatically get into heaven. But then if you were using a name such as Damien (from the Omen) or something along that line of being the "child of Satan", then I'd say go for it. Make the whole stone look sinister. Reapers, demons, etc. )
Hmmm....Rosemary killed her baby after all?!? (oooh! an idea just struck me!)"We accommodate the living, but who shall accommodate the dead?"
"We say haunted, but we mean the house has gone insane."

Yes i believe when infants die...They go to heaven. They haven't reach the age of accountability. Some people never do.

Damien & Rosemary's baby.. I like both of those ideas.. In my mind part of what would make the tombstone creepy, is that at the first glance, it looks sweet & innocent, with the little boy cherub... then you read the inscription and its something maybe not so sweet & innocent- creepy, in a subtle way. what do you think

I agree Can't wait to see it when you finish with it.
"We accommodate the living, but who shall accommodate the dead?"
"We say haunted, but we mean the house has gone insane."

Dark Matter- do you think it would still be offensive if the stone was for Damien or Rosemary's baby?

Do most people consider hell a swear word?

and if I put Adrian Woodhouse (which is the name of Rosemary's baby, I believe) most people now probably wouldn't recognize the name, right? or does it even matter?

Most people wouldn't recognized the name. Those few that recognized the name will probably love it.
