Thread: Still have my Pumpkin

Hello all,
My Pumpkin that I bought before Halloween is still in near perfect condition. I just beat my old record which was May 1st.. My goal is to have the same one for 2 Halloweens in a row. I have given this pumpkin no special treatment. It stays in a hallway that is about 55-65 degrees F.

Actually it's not THAT uncommon. If a pumpkin is unblemished and kept a bit cool, it can keep for nearly a year! I've had a Sugar Pumpkin for a year before but I didn't make a pie out of it. I totally still have one of my pumpkins from last year too. I've been getting the urge to carve it lately though. I was really considering carving it on Friday since we're basically half-way to Halloween and since it's Friday the 13th, ya know?

That is crazy, I truly did not know that they could last that long. That's great, wish I had one to carve right now.

Yup, we are lookign good so far.... The race is on to make it to Halloween... Also, I won't post a pile of mush down the road and say..hey, it made it,,,lol
