We're at a new house this year; it's brand spankin new...so I know it's going to be dificult to make it look older.

What I was wondering is if anyone here would be able to help me come up with a good name for it. I think I've finally settle on a theme. I want to set the house up as an abandoned funeral home/cemetary. I plan on boarding up the windows, putting a cemetary out in the front yard, and possibly turn the garage into a mosoleum facace. With some small indoor displays that would be able to be seen through the boarded up windows.

But what I've been struggling with is a name for this year. I want it to have Magnolia in it. The housing community in the area is Magnolia Place, and it's also Mississippi's state flower. But I just can't think of a good name. I was also wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make the house appear older without costing me an arm and a leg.

    Thank you guys!!

How about the Magnolia Catacombs. If you use this you can do a morgue, processing room and and a skull and bone room.

Here's a couple photo's I found on the internet of the Paris Catacombs.

and you could build an endless hallway (bottomless pit) just like this.

Magnolia Mansion? Pink foam is great for such work. You can also use a banner with something printed on it. They are fairly cheap on the internet.

Hmm...I'm trying to play with Sugar Magnolia by the Grateful Dead as a title. But I just can't make it work.
"Oh no, no," said the little Fly, "for I've often heard it said
They never, never wake again, who sleep upon your bed!"

How about Mournful Magnolia Cemetery, or Crypt of the Magnolias?

Does anyone remember the site someone mentioned on here last year that had a section on ideas for naming your haunt? It was pretty clever and was useful to almost any theme.
