This year, we received a few Halloween "thank you" cards from some of our neighbours.
Sadly, they wrote their names, but I don't know who are they (L).
We were surprise by this gesture, to be honest. We always have people thanking us in person when we are outside, but this was the first time to receive cards.
Also, everytime we have the TV reporters come at our house, I run and knock on everyones door on my street so they can be with us on tv (CTV Ottawa).
(shoot, I just realised I didn't post pics in my gallery of thoses nights... will tonight, at home).
I hope this year more and more people decorate! about 70% of house on our street had something on Halloween last year! (when we moved, maybe 15% would put something).

Wow what great neighbors you have. I think that mine are starting to appreciate my decorations but I can't imagine them giving me a thank you card

That is very nice of them, osenator. I've never heard of anyone receiving cards for decorating for Halloween, but, then again, I'm not from Canada

I think I would pass out if anyone sent me a thank you card.
The guests always tell me how cool everything looks, but a thank you card is so cool!
We all have it coming kid.

A few years ago, I received a thank you letter from a TOTer. That meant so much to me.

Ive had parents thank us, but have never actually received a thank you card.

I thought that it was pretty nifty to get a thank you card with pics my neighbor took having a good time at our haunt. This is my first real Halloween setup this year at my new place, so Im encouraged to make more noise about my location. Another neighbor goes all out because their birthday is the 29th and they have a huge party with about 30 kids each year. If it wasnt for them stopping by we would have had at best 10 kids. Dont wanna CL an ad, just postings around the hood.

A couple of days after Halloween there was a little knock on the front door and as I was heading to answer it I saw a little bike in the front yard. When I got to the door there was a girl ( I would say she was 10 or so) standing there. She asked if I was the one who had built the Halloween stuff. When I told her that yes I was indeed the one who made it, she handed me this certificate that she had made and she told me thanks and that it was really cool to have been able to trick or treat at my house. I told her thanks and she was off. I stood there with a huge grin on my face staring at that certificate for probably ten minutes. Then it went on the fridge right away. I still get a great feeling any time I see it. I know most of us build this stuff for the fun of it, but something like this just makes it all worth it. Especially that she made it herself and took the time to bring it over.
