So I am still hooked on the idea of changing to h&g instead of my normal cemetery. I spent part of the evening working on some sketches but I can't seem to make up my mind which direction I want to go in. Part of me says so it sweet and alluring like the cartoon but another side of me says to Halloween it up. Like using greens, purples, oranges and blacks.

Making my gingerbread people have a skeleton. Playing " come little children" from hocus locus. Having children's remains and their tombstones in the yard.

    Whatcha think?

I'd Halloween-ify it to the max! Or, if it's part of the Grimm's canon (I assume it is), maybe you'd like to go back to the original, unbowdlerized version for inspiration.

Are you going to have a gingerbread house as your haunt/walk-through? You could work in a lot of witch related items. I think replacing the traditional color scheme for orange/green/purples would look cool. Keep us updated!

Did you watch Face Off on SyFy, by any chance? The final episode (episode 8, titled twisted tales, in case you need to google it) featured a creepy take on Hansel and Gretel that would be a very good beginning.

Omg, I saw a special where they did that theme on HGTV (http://www.hgtv.com/video/halloween-...deo/index.html). Its 43 minutes long plus commercials. They do three houses: Sleepy Hollow, Hansel and Gretal, and Haunted Mansion.
I just wished they had showed more of the projects, but I know they had to squeeze it into an hour time slot.

I wish I had the money it took to do the projects!
