Even when it isn't time...like right now, where I live...it's 10:45 at night, and I am listening to the trees protest in the wind. I can look out my bedroom window and imagine walking through those woods right now...my senses on edge, my hair slapping against my face in the breeze, and thinking of all the wild eyes watching me. It's comforting to know that Halloween can visit 192 days early...

I was right there with you Laurie girl
I could just see the woods you were talking about and imagine the wind and the trees.... Oh man that sounds like a fabulous way to spend an evening
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

That's how I feel about a dark night with crickets and the occasional cat meowling!
I'm always in the mood for Halloween, really."WHAT'S out there?"
"I don't know.......it was little and brown, and low to the ground!"

I totally agree and love it! The critters in our pine trees staring, the winds blowing in the night.. Only, I have no hair to whip me in the face though...
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

I am in an area surrounded by woods and know just what you mean. I often sit on the back patio at night just so I can enjoy the sounds of nature and take it all in. Thanks for reminding us!
