Our haunt is modular. And this year we are setting up 40 rooms. We need an inexpensive way to cover it to protect it from the elements. Any suggestions?

I would say the green house type Plastic Corrugated Roof Panels as they are light weight and come in long lengths. Standard size 26in x 8ft. They are fairly cheap as seen here! I would use these if my winds were not so bad... Best of luck on your choice or decision!

OH BTW, I would paint them black to keep out any unwanted light! The darker, the creepier!

We build our haunt around the outside of our entire house. We first put up the fram and use blue tark for the roof and one side. It works out great for us because you can make it really taught and its very dark, no light gets through or rain. Depending on where you are and if the winds that time of year will allow it.

ditto! would like to see some pics of what you have when you start putting it together. 40 rooms sounds awesome.

how big a span are you trying to cover and how many square feet of covering is needed?

I built this framework (it's NOT connected to the house) last year and covered it with 20' wide black plastic...it held up pretty good. I did have some sagging in the rain, but one of my helpers just used a broom to push up the plastic to get the water to drain. I'm thinking of covering it in panels like those terran linked to and making it more permanent (until the building inspector shows up)

I use tarps for my haunted maze every year, even though it's in a metal domed shed.
They come is a variety of sizes & colors- blue, green, grey. Three tarps cover the entire maze- 20x30, & 30x40. They are heavy duty woven plastic (sold at home improvement stores) & hold up to most anything... with the exception of rodents. lol

Sure thing. You can see some of what we have already done on our website, but we have a long way to go still.

We tried plastic the year before last and ended up with sagging roofs also. So last year we used 2 tents and that worked well, but this year we will be so much bigger and are going professional so needs to be better. There will be 3 haunts in one. One of them will be 20 rooms and will be 3200 sq. ft. I believe the other will be the same and then there will be a separate haunt on the grounds.
