.....you have a lot of old wood left over to make Halloween props!!!!
Isn't that how the saying goes?
Recently I found a lot of wet rot on 3 sides of my house. My father and I had to rip off a lot of the siding and pretty much all of the 2 by 4 trim that surrounded the windows and was above the brick. Replaced all of the windows also. Quite a project to say the least.
It was a pain in the butt and a whole lot of work and money but the left over wood is now in the "scrape yard" and will keep me busy making Halloween props for probably two Halloweens!!! And was enough to make myself a new workbench which will come in handy this fall as well. The first project this year will probably be a new drop panel for my stepson to operate.... the 2 by 4's should make a great frame and there is plently of OSB board left over for the window.

Wow that's a nice bench. Wish I had some of those to work on some props.
Very cool.

Nice workbench. Home repair can be a pain in the neck but you can rest easier at night knowing the house is safe for your family.

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

Rot 4 Sale! –

When I ripped away some rotted parts of a sill here I thought maybe I could sell them on E-Bay as parts of a haunted, haunted house?
My Wife said, "No!" Falling under the false advertising-Rip-off paragragh.
This was back when people were selling "Grandpa's Haunted Cane" and actual $ was being exchanged for such merchandise.
My Wife and I are Great together, she is very smart but yesterday she questioned a thing I spent a few days building saying it might not be substantial because I built out of "rotten Wood"!
"I don't saw rotten wood to build anything!" (Although it Would be quite the challenge!)(Nails would "pound" easier!)
I HAVE salvaged much perfectly wonderfull wood from dumpsters because I have the "technology" to saw off the rotted parts (and throw them away!) Maybe this confused her terminology?"My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

You can never go wrong with a trusty work bench! Great job!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..
"The Many Faces of Fear!" New for 2012!

Thanks.
Good thing is that I think it looks "rugged" enough to remain in place as part of the haunted garage portion of the yard haunt. Just throw some latex body part props on there and maybe that chop saw also and I have myself a real nice little torture table. Good stuff.
