went to my buddies the other night,, 3 rotted pumpkins still gracing his deck.
Went to another friends only days later,, their 2010 pumpkin, which looked like a cow patty,, still out too,, now that is what i call halloween dedication,, or laziness.

ewww really? I'd call it laziness but that's just me.lol. thanks pretty gross...:P

My pumpkin is still alive and well.. I have it in the hallway which is cooler that the apartment..I checked it last week and it was still fine. I think my record was having a pumpkin bought around october and I had it till around the end of April. I think this one might surpass the current record. My goal is to have the same pumpkin last for 2 Halloweens in a row.

I could see on the ground, but wouldn't want to stain a deck with it.
I have bought a pumpkin in October and thrown it away in May, but it was uncut.
That was a crazy long time for a pumpkin to last for me!

I had to compost mine over a month ago. It was on my side porch stairs and was the only one untouched by the squirrels. It kind of liquidfied inside and I had to wait until it was a below freezing day to move it.

I've never tried to keep a big one around (we carve them all) but our minis usually wind up starting to rot by Christmas or a little later. In 2009 we had a mini that lasted until September 2010 and it got thrown out only because someone realized how old it was. Must've been fumigated and wax sealed.

Our big ones last year only lasted two or three days before completely disintegrating to mold. It was very annoying.

havent thrown mine away yet either...lol in my case it's just lazyness...lol
