Hey everyone havent made a posting in awile because ive been working on the shop. I am needing alittle support from others that i can make a haunt with the space that i have which is a 40 by20 yard. I wasnted to make a haunte house walkthrough rather then a yard display and was hoping others deal with the same i do and maybe canshare some pics or videos to get my hopes rising!
    Thanks,
    Chris

That's plenty of room to get a couple good scares in. Are you going to put walls up in your yard? what are you going to build it out of...

You're welcome! I found this series last year. The dude is a bit kooky, but there's some good ideas in there. Between the 2009 and the 2010 episodes, there's a lot to watch. Good luck!

yes i do want to put wallls up but havent decided what right now i have a bg 40 by 20 tent which will be the roof and then i guess my idea was using pvc black plastic and iron poles to make the walls?
Im open to what anyone else does for walls!
but i want ti to be lie room to room like terras almost.
first you walk through the buther room with an acter thrn you have a halwayy and then the clown room and so on... small walkby roooms but enough to stick some props up and an actor for when the toters walk by.

im wanting to build a walk through haunted house and since we have an inground pool in the back yard that takes up the whole space there was nothing else besides the front.
I can take some pics if you like but id like t have an entrance and an exit along one side of the haunted house and you walk through in a big kinda sig zagged u although peopleinside wont know that because theres many twistes and turns its not just a quick loop. and i was to make them walk so slow that it eels like a 10 minute haunt not a 2 minute walk because if iwere to walk around my yards it take no time at all. you know?
any ideas would be great its my first year at the haunted house!

With solidly built flooring, 3/4 inch plywood, a lot of good quality 2by4's in the bracing, or larger wood.
Then you could have a graveyard with the dead coming up out of "the Ground".
Some municipalities have used swimming pools for their haunt. You already have it fenced protecting from kids accidentally drowning in it, right?
Incorporate the fencing (don't move it)to control access.
Of course the entry and exit would be guided to the shallow end a gradual slight angle ramp or wide stairs? Handrails too.
If you used pressure-treated wood it would not rot after a few seasons of use(More $$)
OR build a solid bridge across the middle of the pool and have the scary water still in it.
Of course I have no idea how big your pool is or how much rabid enthusiasm you possess.
OR what building and construction skills /tools you also have ?
These basic ideas would not work at all for a great many people who read them for many obvious reasons.
"Ideas" are fun to conjour up, but then it gets serious and personal safety and expenses MUST be figured with every move and thing you try to do.
A very enthusiastic 12 yr. old boy had come up with some of the same ideas that I did before I got my house to physically install those ideas but the kid could not have made those ideas actually happen.
I have had incredibly Large ideas that I scaled down and then made them work and often they were still seen as impressive by my customers.
    Take Care. Be Carefull.
