Thread: Pirate theme 2011!

Wow, it's been well over a year since I've been on this fine forum! How time flies... Anyway, I've finally chosen a theme for home haunt. I moved the haunt from my mom's house to my dad's place, and have an opportunity to start over with fresh new look for the haunt. So I've picked a theme near and dear to my blackened heart - PIRATES! I'm going for a ghostly vibe, with a lot of references to John Carpenter's "The Fog", instead of the Pirates of Caribbean movies. If anyone has any creepy/Pirate-y ideas (preferably cheap!) I'm open.

That's a great idea. I love that movie. It was cool how really creepy that actually made the ship and ppl. I'm with halloween71. Check out the prop section. It always has really good ideas.

I love that you started this thread because I too am doing Pirates. I'm thinking about doing it like the fog as well. So far I'm planning aon making a ghost ship using 2X4's and card board. Also use lots of fog and blue led lights to make a sea/water effect. I'm also going to try and make chickenwire paper rocks.
