    Hello everybody!

While I am not a huge zombie fan, my hubby and his friends realllllly love zombies, so I have agreed to do a zombie theme for this year's haunt. We're even going to organize a zombie walk through our town the weekend before Halloween.

The problem is that we can't seem to come up with an inspiring theme for the house that will compliment the zombie theme. We did a mental hospital last year, so we want to stay away from the hospital idea if possible. Before that, it was a haunted mansion, so we don't really want to go with a zombie infested regular house either.

We've discussed making the house into a giant mausoleum, or perhaps an old abandoned jail, but neither of those ideas inspired me much.

So I wanted to see what you guys thought, since you are the experts! I would really appreciate any thoughts or ideas for what theme we could use in the house this year that will work well with zombies!

Thanks so much in advance, you guys rock!

What I would do for a zombie haunt would be to reuse any and all of the hospital props and turn the house into a CDC quarantine area. With some opaque plastic sheeting and some caution tape it's minimal decoration with a very realistic scene. If you have a bunch of space, you can setup a path to the candy as a basic maze and cntrol the fear factor with zombified actors and different lighting. Hope this inspires an idea for you Happy Haunting!

without reading everyone's comments... i kinda thought you should do a regular house theme, with do not cross tape or simialar to that. I do not know how you could make your house look like it has been along time since anyone has been in the house. which means no decorationing... no cleaning. maybe some smashed pictures and trail of blood here and there.. but in the kitchen that is where the real "MESS" begins.....

In 2012 I'm doing a Zombie wedding theme... mainly because I'm getting married the month before and plan to re-use all my wedding stuff...just making it creepier... . I also think all my guests will look really cool in old and ripped formal wear and such... don't know how it would work for you but I thought I'd share in case it sparked an idea or something.

Last Halloween we did a Zombie Prom theme. It was a lot of fun.

How about a zombie Catholic school, with Zombie nuns, priests and plaid-clad students?
