Just wanted to give a heads up to people that when they order from LILLIAN VERNON, even when they say the item is in stock, don't count on it. I placed an order a few days ago and lo' and behold this morning checked my order status and found that the item (cemetery gateway) had been refunded!!. Spoke with customer service and she said that apparently when they went to pull the item for shipping it had sold out. It's extremely frustrating and a waste of time to purchase from companies who don't know what their inventory status is before they list items for sale. I've been waiting and checking my email and the site's order status area for a few days now and in fact haven't even received an email that they sold out. When I placed the order it said the item was in stock btw.
Since I think a few people have placed orders for halloween clearance merchandise over the last few days from LILLIAN VERNON, I thought I would give you guys a heads up to check your order status and not rely on getting an email. I'm really not pleased with this company and will have to make sure my credit card got refunded too. To me this is just a way to get people to join their mailing list. Like I want to order from them again.

I noticed they signed me up for their mailing list though Im pretty sure there was a checkbox that I clicked to not sign me up. Thanks for the heads up, Ill check my status now. I was thinking Id pobably not get the spider mouse but Im hoping to at least get the pirate head. :/
EDIT- It looks like I just got the email from them too that my order shipped. It said part or all of it has shipped and to check my order for more details. It at least sent me the pirate head, so Im happy so far, if they dont have the other items and are refunded I wont be all that disappointed. My talking tree face and spider mouse says next to it in the order details0 No Information available. Check back later.
So Im not holding my breath Ill get it but will make sure they refund .

I placed an order for several things on Monday including the cemetery gateway. The gateway and other items shipped yesterday except for the Talking Tree Face. I got the same message as the pp that No Information is Available.

Well I'm really frosted over the fact that I placed my order on Sunday and Krnlmustard said he/she placed their order for the same arches on Monday and theirs got shipped. I called Customer Service and even went up the line to the Customer service supervisor and was told "yes, we know we have a problem with orders being processed in the order they were received and that the website shows items in stock when people order but then can't be filled". Said there was nothing they could do about my order. Wouldn't even attempt to talk to the shipping department which is at their company, not off-site. Just too bad.
All I can do is warn you guys about ordering anything from their company.
Well so much for my great tunnel/cave idea for the ToTers. I've very disappointed as I'm sure you guys can tell. Thanks for letting me vent.

Sorry to hear that, Ghost of Spookie. It's unfortunate that you had to waste time and endure much frustration due to their mistake. Their customer service sounds absolutely deplorable. I've never ordered from them before, and I certainly will not after that.

That sucks! I hate when that happens.
I also hate it when you see something you want and wait till later to get it thinking no one else wants it, only to find it's gone! This happed to me last year at Spirit. I wanted to get the Grave Digger, I passed the 1st time because they had 4 of them in stock. The next week I went back for it only to find they vanished... Very frustrating.
