My hubby says its too early but I dont think so! By the time I decide on how Im going to
decorate and how Im going to hand out candy this year it will be the day before halloween! LOL
Last year I set up a candy buffet and it went over well but I was thinking should I just do the buffet again this year with some tweeks or think of another totally cool way to pass out candy? What do to....what to do?
What do you think? Buffet or ?

I love the idea of the candy buffet! What a cool way to hand out candy. You could definitely go with that again this year and tweek a few things...or add to it. How do you have the buffet set up? All on one table? If so, you could even do a few "stations" which would be decorated in different themes that the kids have to visit to get their candy.
At any rate, I definitely don't think it's too early to start thinking about next Halloween. The way time flies by these days...it will be here before ya know it!

I second that its never too early to plan ahead. I remember a while ago there was someone here who would hand out pirzes based on a ticket you would pick out of the candy dish I always thought that was a neat idea.
I swear I'm not crazy its everyone else who is crazy.

Early? I say you're LATE! Where you been?
I'ld like to know more (pics?) about this "Candy Buffet". Our "Biggest bowl of candy I've ever seen" has been quite popular, but it's grown too small, and needs to be refilled numberous times in the evening...

Wow, that is the "biggest bowl of candy i've ever seen" !! Do you hand out the candy or do you let each kid take what they want?
Same question on the buffet? I like the idea but i would wonder about control....

It's a monitored 'take one' at our place. Strangely, he didn't have any issues last year...
In fact, I've only ever had issues once where someone tried to empty it...and it was PARENTS.

Last year was the first year for the buffet. All went well.We only had a few greedy kids but mostly everyone was great. When I set it all up I figured when its gone its gone. It lasted a while but the last hr we had only tootsie rolls left so this year there will be no tootsies!!! lol I handed each child a small halloween treat bag and told them to pick a few treats. Everyone was so excited when they saw all the candy. This year I will end up buying even more candy but would like to set it up differently in stations like someone suggested.

Never too early to start thinking about it or planning.
