One month into 2011 and already getting mentally geared up and thinking at times, OK, I am ready for Halloween to come around again heheheh

Must be the weather here partly: the Bay Area has been overcast and chilly, spatterings of rain, the smell of firewood in the air: all that is missing is that rotting leaves autumnal smell. Alas....

Some structures in the backyard are underway, more western/train themed things that will be put to use come October for housing decorations and scenes. Been browsing the internet as usual for photos and videos, odds and ends, ideas and things to get me back into the Halloween spirit without driving me too crazy that it's still a solid 9 months away heh. Perhaps a visit to Disneyland's Haunted Mansion and the Tower of Terror in California Adventure come May will help ease it somewhat.

If you have spooky goodies, post them here, and I love being able to come this forum and get some of that feeling of then spookiest season year round...thank you to all who post!

Here are a few suitably atmospheric videos for those who were kindly enough to read through this rambling, heh

Hands down one of my favorite home haunt videos on youtube, and very creative use of projections:

Atmospheric tour video of Scream House: Resurrection at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights

I always have the halloween blues... I only take a few weeks off up until thanksgiving or so.. But when digging for the xmas decor, I always get reminded of my beloved Halloween and my patiently resting in pieces props/decorations!

    Cool videos! Thanks for sharing!

I hate winter. I 3was just telling my wife that I cant wait for Spring to get here so that we can get the yard cleaned up and I can start prepping the pumpkin patch for June seeding.

Tonight it's still very cold and tons of snow BUT I had a call maybe 5 people will be here tonight!
Last Sat. Night was maybe the best Jan, Sat night I have ever had here! And guess what? We are located 3 hours from chicago= middle of nowhere!! (Best location for a real haunted house, in a small town, across from the big grave yard, at the edge of a cliff in a 1870 Italianate house with quite a history....on-going....

Winter needs to stick around for a bit. Need more snow in the mountains and I'm not ready to put the skis away yet.

    Everything in due time
