Next year will be my first year at a haunted house ive decorated elabroatly this past year but want to go big.I have been busy making and buying props and supplies. The only concern of mine is how i will structure my haunt.
The haunt is on my front yard and my yard is 40ft by 20 ft.
I have a tent about that size with the canopy and about 35-50 metal poles ranging from7 to 9 feet about.

I dont knowhow to make the walls for my tent nor the roof and if i should use all the poles to put the actual tent up then do walls or use the poles as an outline for walls and use black plastic! im confused!

IM only 15 and if i cant even plan a structure for halloween then i can pllan a haunt lol. And since i am only a teenager who has a devious mind for scares but money is not growing on trees so i have to keep that in mind!

    Please help with ideas!

    Thanks,

I used a car canopy for my tunnel, be warned, wind is a hugggeee factor. it got ripped apart twice by winds. With lots of hard work, we manage to rebuild it on Halloween day. We build the walls out of fabric (garden black fabric) and work out very well. check out my pics in my gallery and vid

Wood seems very inexpensive right now. Some 2 by 4s screwed together, staked into the ground at the corners of you tent (inside) would add much to what you are trying to have and do there.
Call the Utility Co.s and have them come and spray paint on the ground where any of their gas, electric or phone lines mught be buried because these are not often buried deep at all.
After they all come and do this stay away at least 2 feet if possible with any stakes . since they marked it if they were wrong and you sever a line it's their fault.= Their expense.
Even used Kitty Litter plastic buckets can be filled with sand, gravel or scrap metal and placed on the bottom 2 by 4 wall to give it more weight to withstand any gusts of wind.
The main concern should be building something that will Not fall over on someone or blow into them/on them.
Erecting signs also have to be done right, even cutting holes in the sign as to allow the air to pass through it helps alot too. Decorative holes.
