I did this year, my little ghost boy.. sniff.. he was already falling apart from last year, but after this year, he was in peices, the face even broke in parts.. I loved him... Poor little ghost boy.. Sadly, I can't find him again. (he was from Micheal). I had him for 4 years... R.I.P. (rest in peices).

He was a cool prop.
I belive I would have kept him and glued what I could back together.
Most of the time I salvage what I can.

Oh My God............I have one just like it.. Found it years ago in a Halloween store... Everyone that ever saw it thought it was the creepiest thing ever....These can be very tough to get.. at one point, I thought that I had the only one in existence.. this was years ago though...This thing scared everyone that came near it and saw it.. If, fact, just from pictured of it, someone had nightmares. In my opinion, it is probably one of the best Halloween props that were ever made. I also, propped it up with a tube to stand instead of hanging it.
I would not throw this away. I named mine the undead ghost child... This is one of the favorite things in my collection.. Here is mine

When I Called for a dumpster... –

The dumpster company drivers were surprised because I never throw anything away.
My Wife wanted to get rid of some scrap metal in the backyard, I finally just gave up trying to make her realise "scrap" gets used here, most of it, eventually.
Grind off the rust and begin welding! Or drilling, or hammering to make it bend alittle.
I have spent days just pulling nails and cutting rotted ends from boards that were free from a dumpster, I have this technology! (Or is it ambition?)
A werewolf mask (with hair) that my Mother bought and wore 35? years ago finally got beyound mask-looking, so it's a wad of hair in my hand as I stick it around a corner and say:"Taco Bell!"
Countless patrons have been scared by such low-cost silliness.
"Taco Bell on steroids!" "GGGRR!""My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

When I mean in peices, I mean peices. all fingers broken, both arms hooks were broken, and the face was crumbling. The head is made of card board, wich I was shock to see. So, be careful, I left him in the rain and snow many times, thinking he would be okay. Only after he started crumbling, I realised he mostly carboard inside. Trust me, I miss him already. I saw one store that was still carying him somewhere, I might try to order him one day.

Never! Read my signature phrase.. I believe If it breaks, fix it! If you can't fix it, modify it or part it out to use it in another prop or decorative fashion. Sooo many possibilities with endless prop transformations available... I know you could have done it! with all the help here too.... It would have been your personal masterpiece! Well now ya know everyone for future reference.
Don't throw away your props! Ask for help here or "Just Do It" yourself! Lol!A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

Wow that thing sure is creepy! I had a Gemmy shrieking ghost drop at one of our annual Halloween parties and though it had broke. Well I refuse to throw away any prop until I have had a good crack at fixing it! I waited til the following year opened him up and fixed the shaking motor inside him! He is as good as new now! Also I have a Dobson the Butler from Gag studios well we were at a party store a few years back and they were selling him for 420 dollars. I asked if to see him and he happened to be the store model. He was all banged up and dis colored . His shaking motor inside him didn't even work. The mgr asked if I wanted to buy him and sold him to me for 129 dollars! Well I got him home washed off the dust let him dry re painted him and fixed his shaking motor! If the mgr saw my Dobson today we would sell him: for that 420 dollars!

When I have a prop that is beyond repair I salvage anything that may be useful for making additional props. the robe could be used for something else, his hand or even the joints were he connects together could be used for something else. Just throw away whatever is broken the rest is parts you can never have enough spare parts around! Ya never know what you are going to need...

Welcome to my world where it's Halloween 365 days a year!

As above if it cannot be fixed, I salvage what i can and junk the rest. I believe my stuff lives on in my pictures and i take many of them every year. Sometimes you just have to replace pieces, but i only do it if it cannot be fixed. I find myself all the time repairing props every year.
Rest in peace little ghost boy.EVERY DAY TO ME IS HALLOWEEN!
