I was at Lowes today picking out a Christmas tree when a girl, about 10 years old, came up to me and asked "Aren't you the guy that does the Halloween? It is so much fun and so scary?" I thanked her and told her to make sure and come back next year. It made me feel good that kids remember the yard. Although, I'm not sure how she recognized me as I'm always dressed in my stalkabout costume.

I was 25 miles from home asking where an item was in a Farm & Fleet store.
Of course the voice he recognised was not my original voice. I suffered voice-abuse from having my house and having it open every night of the year. When October ends I sound very coarse and gravely, then it gets back to something more normally acceptable, eventually, sort of...
I may have also lost some of my hearing from the same occupational hazards.
If I had it all to do over again?..You better belive I Would! Nobody has ever had more fun than I have had here the last 23 years!!! (And the rest of it seems to have kept my old body pretty healthy too!)

I'm guessing they must have driven by the yard during one of the many hours of setup & test runs we had during the month of October.
