There's a costume I've been eyeing that's already marked down from original retail. Question is, what's the likelihood that if it remains in stock, it will continue to be marked down even further. Even reduced, and with a 50% off coupon, it's still pricier than I'd like it to be. If they regularly deepen the discounts on clearance items then I'll take my chances that it will be sell out before my coupon expires. If they don't, it's time to dig around the sofa cushions for extra change.![]()

I don't think that Party City discounts costumes most of the time (sometimes the following year, to make room, but that's about it). If it is already marked down, I seriously doubt that the price will go any lower. I could be wrong, but, years ago, I was told that costumes were excluded from the 'after Halloween' sale.

Thanks for the information. I compared prices on that particular costume at every web site I could find, and ultimately caved in to ordering it at Party City. It will be perfect for the central character in both my 2011 and 2012 themes so I decided digging around the sofa cushions and rummaging through the garbage for soda can refunds was worth it.

I missed out on their "Cyber Monday" 30% off discount. Like you, I've been watching some costumes, and had planned to order them Monday, but ended up working OT and by the time I got home it was the last thing on my mind...rats!

Do you have accomodating friends? When I registered an online account with them on Monday (was already subbed to the emails), I received a 50% off one item coupon in my email. Don't know whether that's a standard thing but it might be worth trying.
