I was in the car listening to my favorite Sports talk Radio Station. The "Healthy Scratches" were discussing one of the hosts (ex NHler Jason York) most recent golf outing that morning. After a terrific drive he pulled his 3 wood and was trying to carry the water and land on the green in 2 to give himself a shot at Eagle or Birdie. A Birdie is what he got!
Unfortunately he topped the ball and drove the ball directly into a flock of seagulls killing one. He was genuinely remorseful but he heard about it from guests, callers, and his co-host for weeks.
It gave me an idea and my Jason York Tombstone Tribute was created.
Today I finally e-mailed the photos to the Team 1200 radio station and on the drive home I listened as they spent 5 minutes discussing my tombstone and reliving Jason Yorks horrible golf skills. Later this evening I got an e-mail saying I had won the e-mailer/caller of the day. For this I won 4 tickets to a hockey game and a $50.00 gift certificate to a restaraunt.
As soon as I am eligible to win something else, I think I will have to send them a video and some images of the 3 headed tombstone peeper I made in honour of the three morning hosts.
Here's the tombstone and a grave grabber I built this summer.

It was fun. Halloween doesn't get a lot of exposure in Ottawa. Certainly not on a Sports Radio Talk Show towards the end of November.
