Unfortunately I didnt get to take very good pictures of the haunt this year. Things were too rushed beforehand and people started taking down the haunt right after we finished. Hopefully somebody can get some ideas from what we did.
Entrance hallway with circus posters
It's hard to see but at the end there is a little booth that has a peppers ghost illusion of a circus barker.
Here are some closeups of some of the pictures
These are all painted in black light poster paint and the hall was dark with black light.
Here's the room that had an evil clown actor in it -- this is not the actual actor we had but you get the idea
The skeleton is not the famous Chuckles McStabby, merely his sidekick.
The next room we had was a dot room. We used the florescent poster paint on a bunch of Avery dots. We had two actors in black robes hidden in the corners. I was surprised -- you couldn't even see them. This was the highest impact room of the haunt and scared a lot of people.
Then we had a hallway with tarot cards hung near the ceiling. I got the images from the internet, printed them out and put a little paint on them.
This is a room with a fortune teller. Two things would happen -- first the fortune tellers daughter would scare the bejeezus out of you from behind.
Then the fortune teller would ask you to gather around this cauldron, and when you did, the guy with the hands (who was somewhat hidden in the dark) would lunge out at you while a strobe light went off.

Here's another picture of the lunge-y grabby guy

Here's a graveyard in the next room. The thee skull heads in the back were able to talk like puppets -- I had them singing the lines from Grim Grinning Ghosts

Unfortunately they were so far back that many people didn't notice that their mouths were moving..
Here's another scary static display

The last room was one of the coolest but I have no decent pictures of it. It was another peppers ghost illusion but with a woman playing the piano. We had the room done up like a boudoir and even had some carbon filament flicker bulbs which added a grat atmosphere. Here are only the bulbs with one of our guides.

Those filaments move around in the bulbs creating a really neat effect. You can find them on the internet if you look for "balafire" bulbs.
See?

That's all of the decent pictures I took. Hope you liked it.

Animated Skull Puppets
Unfortunately I found the tarot card pictures on the internet with google and probably couldn't find them again. Enlarged them and printed them out -- then highlighted the detail with paint.
