Just wanted to ask everyone a question i made some pretty cool props this year and spent some money on them...........but now what for next year should i reuse them in my haunt next year or scape them and make new ones there was alot of rain this year so it was'nt too big of a turn out but the ones that did you were scared shitless but now i'm drawing a blank that does everyone else do ??????? as far as new themes and props.

Use them again....I just add more stuff to my haunt every year. Come up with new ideas on how to use them or where to place them if you're worried about it looking "fresh"

I agree with Scatterbains. Tombstones are a great example of this. You just have to keep adding.

yeah but my haunt was a walk though do you think i'll get the same scares if they see it last year ...... man i'd love to use them again seems like a waste not too...i guess i could put them in a new spot different back ground ??????

I reuse mine and add 1-2 new props each year. Eventually, when I start to run out of room, I'll start to retire some but I still have plenty of room in the yard right now.

my theme is changing to pirates so there will not be tombstones or anything else that has been in the yard before as they are now they will be different. my buckys will be dressed different and my pvc fence will be covered in black plastic and be my ships body.I plan on using alot but not doing anything permenat to them so I can change them back.

The more stuff I get, the more sceneries or Theme sections I do!

Use them every year! I've old props since 2001, and I am still using them!

Definately reuse! I'll mix up the masks/heads with the clothing and put them in different locations to keep things interesting.

As far as keeping the scare new, is it possible to change what get's activated? For instance, where my husband stands one year we put a static prop there the next. We also mix the masks he wheres with our props. It keeps everyone guessing what is going to move when. lol

I had a scissor prop this year that got a lot of people. Next year, I'll put the witch that was on it in the same spot and move the scissor prop to somewhere else with a new ghoul and stick a trash can trauma next to where the scissor prop was. Folks will be looking for that witch to jump and we'll get them with the popup.

BTW: A cool prop is a cool prop and people will look forward to seeing it year after year
