Thread: My 2010 Halloween Video

I finally sat down and went through our footage from Halloween. We had set up 4 night vision security cameras around our yard. Sadly, the one pointed at my area was tripped over & unplugged just minutes after the haunt started. You can still see my costume, an 8' grim reaper stalkabout, around the 1:35 mark and a couple of other spots in the video. In the scenes with the headless butler, the people are jumping because above them is a severed head that has constant drip of water coming out of it. You can see that the sidewalk is wet underneath. This was a last minute but really easy idea that seemed to freak people out more than the trash can trauma. This was my first ever video but I am pretty pleased with the out come. Who triggered the trash can.

Can you provide a little more info on the dripping head? how did you make it drip?

The trash can was triggered by either the person sitting in the rocking chair or next to the rocking chair via an X10 remote.

All we did for the dripping water was run some of the small rubber irrigation hose up the tree and through the head. We had a 2 gallon per hour irrigation drip head on the end so it produced a nice steady drip but not a stream.

Looked like fun! You got some really good reactions on the trash can prop. Do you have a picture of the headless butler?

That's some great video. Looks like you had a lot of ToTers this year.

We estimated approx 300 ToTers, around 50 more than last year. Here's me and the butler after the night was over. It looks like his right shoulder has deflated or shifted.

I just realized I never posted pictures of the night. When I was trying to upload them originally Photobucket was locking up and I never got back around to it.
