I have read up on MM on all different forums and all over the web.

    5:1 ratio

5 part joint compound to 1 part liquid latex paint (in the gallon cans)

Sheetrock All purpose joint compound (cheapest around)

Liquid Latex exterior paint (color of choice)

If you want it thinner use less joint compound so 4:1 ratio.

Does that all sound correct? What else can be added into the MM or does anyone add anything else?

mix it up in an empty 5 gal bucket., it gets messy...if you use really big pieces, have someone help you, its heavy....rubber gloves a must. If you use burlap, I pre-wet it by spraying with a hose, and wrung it out before the mud. It seemed to work better for me.

Your ratio is right, but a little bit more or less either way is no big deal.

Sounds good. Looks like I am off to the store to pick up some supplies. I just needed to get the correct info before I went off buying stuff. Everyone gets their liquid latex in a gallon paint can right?

Last project I did... I barely fit everything in my car. Mustangs are not great for Halloween projects cause they can't carry much! Ha

Is the latex paint what gives the color or is it the joint compound? I'm assuming it's the paint but thought I'd ask to make sure.
