I know, not even a week after Halloween is over, we have already begun planning for next year's Haunted Theatre. Next year's theme is basically escaped mental patients have taken over the theatre, lead by Little Miss Annabelle Cotten. So I'm already trying to come up with ideas for rooms and characters. I'm also trying to come up with a good name for it. The haunt's name is The Haunted Theatre on Hill Street, but we always like to have a subtitle that goes with the theme (ex. Theatre of the Macabre, The Magic Show). I thought of Mind Games, but it doesn't sit right with me, so I'm open to more ideas.

So any suggestions as far as rooms, scares, things of that nature?

Right Now I am brian dead to be thinking of anything other then homework.

I remember an episode dealing with the same thme in Tales from the crypt.... I don't remeber the title I just remeber the story ended with a dead actor and his skull being the main attraction. Not sure if that helped. But I see you having a prop holding another prop head as a character. Just a thought.

That's a good idea.

This past year I built my first actual prop. It was a Spill Your Guts box. It was good, but not real reliable, and we broke it down and trashed it at the end of the haunt. This year I want to do a drop down panel...or two, a custom sign, and an electric chair. I'm not that advanced, but I think these are fairly easy to pull off, at least with the help of some of my team.

Psycho Cinema? Commedia del Mania?

"The Theatre of Torture" possibly? Many rooms like the "Projector Room" (projectiles spear out or stakes shoot out toward you when entering...), "Backstage Area" (where you must dodge dropping roped weighted sacks for curtains..)

When I say theatre, it's an old black box theatre, like for plays, not a movie theatre.
