Scatterbrains, I just used a good potting soil mix (so when it was all over I could rake it into the grass and walk away), oak and maple leaves, a few pvc/led candles and an aged lantern (battery operated, left out in the rain to rust the metal a bit and the glass was frosted with a gray textured spray paint and knocked down with a damp rag).
