Once again, we helped our friends on Halloween and had a blast. Our theme this year was Crimson Farm - a scarecrow/corn field display we put together in the garage. There were a few fake scarecrows and my husband dressed as a scarecrow as well. I was the friendly scarecrow with the candy to get the kids to come all the way into the garage so my husband could come up behind them and scare them.

Happens every year

Sometimes we get kids just standing there looking at the yard display and they don't even come over for candy even though we set up out front of the yard.

We get a few kids that you can hear at the end of the driveway saying they won't come up, then we get the few that walk up the driveway, look into the garage and turn right around. They don't know what they are missing!

Love your scarecrow costumes! The light show is really neat.

We do the same thing and always have some who just look around and walk away in amazement! We try and get them some candy but you can only chase down so many when you are in costume and they think you are coming to get them.

BeggarsAlley - coming to get them ... ROFL - we get a few of those too.
