I like the entrance way...the only 'criticism" I'd have is to add gargoyles to the other pillars.
Oh yeah, get rid of the blue sky....it can't be halloween without rain

Looks great! Maybe age/weather the columns a bit for a more creepy look. I like the cemetery.

The columns are gorgoeous. I'm a sucker for a nice gargoyle, too. The JOLs are a nice touch scattered thru the cemtery. Is that a real coffin out there?
I love your house, even without the added haunting-ness!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions! I did have the columns aged and painted a medium gray a month ago but the winds blew them down and severly damaged one of them...
I chose to repaint them all a very light gray just for the big night as time was ticking and my awful winds didn't give me many breaks... Either way I plan to stucco all 8(only used 4 this season) of them during the off season and re-age them once again. I will post pics of before and after when complete.
Thanks again everyone!A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

Wish I could hide the summer skys but I'm in Southern Cali and we get more sun than rain here.. LOL.
I have two devil dogs that I was going to place on top of my large pillars but the winds would have destroyed them. I actually did a total repair to the latex devil dogs seen below and I planned on showcasing/re-releasing them during the big night! I put in alot of repair work and didn't want to risk it...
See the old damaged devil dogs before:

looks like you put a lot of time into your new columns, almost too new for halloween, review terra's how to buid a tombstone and how she ages them with thinned paint. it also works on columns. I live in socal and get hit with the santa anna winds too. I hot glue items to small board and then dry walll screw them to the top. One screw and they on and come off for storage without concern about wind, also you dont need to only use halloween items on columns, consider flower pots, pumpkins, pvc candles.
the urns below only cost $5 bucks at walmart last year on sale.

Thanks for the advice greg! I really wanted to have my devil dogs mounted on them but you may be right! I have plenty of the urn style planter pots in my back yard laying around..
Oh BTW, the pillars are not new at all. I built the larger pillars in early 2008 but had them sitting unfinish for quite some time. I also have 6 48" pillars that were built in late 2006. I only had time to paint 3 coats(weather permitting) two large and 2 regular by the big night.A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..
