Thread: Any works in progress?

Halloween night I finalized the floor plan for next years haunt, and last night I started making my lists. Project lists, things to buy list, costumes needed list, etc. I can't wait to get started. I'm trying to decide if I want to build my bottomless pit first or the dancing skeletons lol.


How about you.....any 2011 works in progress? Or do you take time off? Photo's of WIPs would be great! (WIP= works in progress)

I'm going to take time off. I'll probably start in January. First thing's first tho. I'm going to research up on some prop controllers. I need to get something that will delay a prop. Mainly at the end. I had SOO MANY ppl just stay in the haunt it was ridiculous lol. I mean all of my air was constantly being used. I made a (super safe IMO) air cylinder that the ram rod wasn't sealed. I liked it, but when folks just stand in front of the prop talking about it or just hanging out, it's annoying when it's constantly tripped.

Outside of that, next step is to redo my TCT , or my Toxic pop up prop and build it with an actual pneumatic cylinder and reinforce the cylinder braces.

My next prop will be a mechanical electric chair.

My main thing is when I get back, i gotta figure out a way to get my large props back to the house and get them in a safe area from the weather and ppl that may feel they need it more than I do.

We're going to start building in January. I always do the floor plans and prop ideas pretty quick after Halloween, while it's still fresh in my mind.

We had a really good haunt this year, it just needs minor tweaking and not a complete remodel like last time! Our big project is going to be a vortex tunnel. I want to get started on that ASAP just so I can play with it before the big day.

An electric chair is on my list too. I'm sure mine will be rather corny in comparison lol. Hope you post pics.

Oy, I dream of a vortex tunnel. Hope you post lots of videos of you playing with it. (and pics building it)
