Be careful what you ask for....I was looking forward to Halloween being during the week, until I realized that my primary helpers all work swing shifts.

If the NFL will just not schedule a game, it will help. LOL

The World Series was a bummer being on Sunday night. However, we kept updating parents of the situtation.

It was really nice this year to have Halloween activities spread out over several days. It was sort of an extended holiday for me.

Yeah it's on a school night. I'm only decorating the front of the house next year. The Husbands a teacher so he's going to be at work all day. So won't be able to help out.

I'm going to attempt the singing pumpkins using servos next year lol god help me!. We can't get foam pumpkins over here. Could somebody tell me how much Michaels charges for them? I might be begging one of you to ship me 4 next year, all paid for by myself of course

Like last year, 2011 will be a working Halloween so we're having our party in November, Friday 11th!
Last year was OK cos it was Friday 13th.

My Michael's has little pie sized foam pumpkins on super cheap.. not very good for a main display pumpkin. Bummer that this year and next and the next, etc. will be "school nights" D:

All it means to me is a whole weekend to set up & 2 days off from work during the week. Because I generally take off Halloween if it's during the week & I then made the mistake of coming to work yesterday, the day after, & I won't make that same mistake again.

It also means fewer ToTers so I will adjust the set up accordingly.

Luckily, our school district gives kids the day after Halloween off

They use the day as a teacher training day

I actually expect a lot more ToTers....Monday's aren't a good night for adult parties, so I expect those to be on Saturday freeing up the kids for Monday

I don't mind this because I will get to relax all weekend, eat too much and watch horror movies in anticipation of the big day. I bet I could get off work for Monday and Tuesday, too. Bring on 2011, I am already looking forward to it.
This year I'm really gonna kick that football...
