Went to Goodwill, and picked up 3 black dresses in my size for $15. I need help picking which one is best for this costume. I want a dress that hides my "man figure", and looks the most like a woman from a distance. The short sleeves are a problem, and with my hairy arms, I will need gloves with the ones with short sleves, so keep the gloves in mind while picking. I'll also need a hat, and a better veil, as the one in the picture is just a scarf that I used to hide my face. I make a "big girl", as these dresses are size 18 to size 20.

This costume is about making people think that I am a woman in a costume. So, I looking for the dress that makes me look "most feminine", which is a very hard task to accomplish. But, it should also be appropriate for a funeral. I don't know fashion, so I need help from the women on this site.

Am going this Saturday for my fitting for Mother Bates.

I already have the wig, granny glasses, shawl and knife. My costumer will provide the dress for me.

I will also get a quote for the Hag/Witch costume.

I think that these will be some good additions to my costume wardrobe.

On the hag/Witch I already have a witch's stick, pantallettes and will get an old piece of cloth for the shawl. Also I have some real ugly teeth. I wouldn't think that the hat or wig would be expensive. But my costumer will have to make the dress and the candy striped hose.

Looks like my big costume event has changed from Mardi Gras to Halloween. So these costumes will be perfect.

I could see using this costume and turning it into a prop too.
