Heres a clip of the show aqua teen hunger force. If you skip to the very end (9:24) you will hear some sort of creepy (what i guess is chanting monks over an organ) music. I was wondering if anyone can identify what this is and maybe where I can get some for next years haunt. Thanks!

Using no music/sfx in our cemetery... was a huge success

Most years we obsess over what types of sound effects to have in our cemetery.

I think one of our best haunts occurred when we used no sound effects or music. The night was clear and cool and the fog machines put a creepy effect across the cemetery.

The stillness and quietness of the place made people stand out in front of our gate deciding to go in or not. Some just sat there and sad, nah, it's too creepy. Too creepy, us? Well, thank you. People are usually somewhat prepared to be scared if it looks and "sounds" like it might happen, but the stillness really freaks them out.

I think there are perks to music/ sound effects, and then there are some disadvantages.

I realized that sometimes not having too much is actually better.

What do you think?

Best/Scariest Halloween Soundscapes?

What do you people here consider one of the best (and scariest) Halloween sounds cds/tapes ever released? Well mine has to go with this....

Images for No Artist - Sounds Of Halloween (http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=711625)

and here is the sound bit of it...

Sounds Of Halloween by Sound Effects - Rhapsody Music (http://www.rhapsody.com/sound-effects/sounds-of-halloween#albumreview)

I actually have alot of memories with this CD and it actually used to scare the **** out of me when I was a child as it still does today since the sounds in this CD are authentically ominous as if something is coming towards you not to mention the 1960s/1970s horror atmosphere which further added the eerie atmosphere of this CD. Not to mention I used to look at the cover art of the CD you see above trying to use my imagination whats going on in this CD (which I for a long time actually mistaken that Pumpkin head skeleton's thumb at the right as a "Frankenstein Duck Monster" for a very long time until I noticed till recently). Ever since I haven't found one soundscape that was able to top this...

Image: http://www.crumpkinspumpkins.com/images/jchs09_poster620x360.jpg

Greetings to all at HF! Back from the near-grave with this tasty bit of foolishness for your swag bags this Halloween:

Get lit up with this year’s all-new, “lid-scorching” incarnation of –

“JAVA’S 2009 COSMIC HALLOWEEN SPECIAL”…!

This time around, Java finds himself “Pad-jacked” by the platoon of poisonous pumpkins in Crumpkin’s Pumpkin Patch, in league with the last four (“hiccup!-flame-scream!) – um, make that the last three zombies left behind last year (that didn't go up in flames from the 151), now under the spell of a “Mystic Power” back on YoYo Island -- one who seeks the powerful mojo in the pumpkin leaves from The Patch, who’s hell-bent on raising Cain – and just about everybody else who’s shuffled off their mortal coils!

Stowaway with Java and his “lycanthropically-inclined” lunatic acquaintance, Miss Lauren Talbot (yes, she’s one of those “Talbots”), on a “hair-raising” adventure back to the wackiest island in the world, as Java suavely tries to recapture the keys to The Pad, while tussling with a girl who’s got more than a mere Smith & Wesson in her personal arsenal, especially when the moon is full!

It’s a crazy cauldron stew that blends Java’s always entertaining musical Treats, with Crumpkin’s Pumpkins’ gleefully wicked dirty Tricks, into a pumpkin-vine-tangled tale that features thrillingly saturated submarine fun, small-arms leaf-wrestling, and the Pirate Zombies of 'Porte La Morte', who are always glad to see fresh visitors during the Yoyo Island “Zombie Gras”!

The on-line version is available now for your official fright night enjoyment, at "Java's Bachelor Pad" -

Java's Bachelor Pad (http://www.javasbachelorpad.com) .

Tune in to join Java for a nice big steamin’ cuppa Halloween mayhem and musical madness, that puts the “Tea” in Terror, and may show Crumpkin’s Pumpkins that there’s a steep price to pay for brewing up a scheme that could well put them all in the bag…

Wishing all here at HF a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN...!

Most Sanguine Cheers,

Hi All,

This post is about very good Halloween Theme music that is free and maybe already in your home.

If you have Time Warner Cable, and have the music channels... they start in the 800 range here in Austin TX.. then go the SEASON MUSIC. I went there a little earlier today, and the music selection is incredibly themed all for HALLOWEEN!! Classics from 30's up to the present. Give it a whirl and let me know if you like it.

It is also commercial free.. and they have sound effects between songs at times. It is fabulous and spooktacular fun so far. ENJOY!
