I am creating a witches theme Halloween/Haunted Trail and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about witches that I could incorporate in my decorations?

I am just curious how many of you give a teaser type decoration or just a countdown clock for kids reminding them the big day is approaching. Next Sunday I will be putting out my window countdown clock I added to my Gemmy Skeleton as a teaser. I just finished the sign and all I do is replace the number each morning while having my java

I live on a corner lot directly on a walking route for Elementary, Junior and High School so its a kick to see them observe a sneak peak. I would love to see pics or hear about any others teasing the TOTs.

Good Halloween locations

I am wondering if anyone knows of either any really scary places to go to on halloween for adults or real haunted locations to visit on halloween or around halloween time. I am located in Connecticut. I am willing to go anywhere in the New England area.

I have been to haunted houses, haunted hay rides, mazes....etc that were supposed to be extremely good and scary, but they seem dull and a little childish. I understand Halloween is supposed to be fun and more aimed for the family, but I'm looking for something or somewhere truely scary.

Ideally I'm looking for a place where you can camp out or spend the a night at a real haunted location, but cant seem to find anything other than camping out for the family with hay rides, which is great for kids but not for the 18-30 age group. I'm not sure if this would be the site to look for such places, could anyone give me a hand.

Need help on roof station

I am going on my 5th year of yard haunting at this house and am trying to come up with different ideas.

I have a idea of making a railed station on the roof in the picture about 5x5.

What do you guys think. Any ideas on design or enhancements?

When does everyone start setting up their haunted "yards"? I was thinking I was going to start setting up at the end of September, but I want to do it a little earlier. When is it TOO early to set-up halloween stuff?

do you sell your costumes from past halloweens?

Im debating on if to sell my costume from last year or not. I did spend alot of money on it and I think I could sell it on ebay or somewhere. What do you guys do? Keep it for sentimental reasons or get rid of it?! :)

FYI I started a new social group for those of us who also celebrate Samhain. I didnt see that there was one. If I just missed it, and someone would kindly point it out to me I'll delete mine. Otherwise I hope to see some of you there. I know (at least here) most of us Samhain observers are solitary. It would be nice to meet up on here and discuss the import.

Special TOT treat ideas

I was thinking about doing something special for my TOTs this year and was looking for some ideas. Passing out candy is just fine, but I thought I could incorporate the theme of my haunt into a small game or special item.

We do a different theme each year and 2010 is IT. Clowns and spiders are always a hit. I was thinking about making one of those carnival spinning wheels to give TOT prizes. Or maybe making a sign at the beginning of my yard haunt with the answer somewhere inside for a special prize. I was also considering balloons, either helium or on a stick.

I know other posters have given balloons and I don't know how they were received.

Please share your ideas! TIA

I am going to NYC the 14th -18th weekend any haunts I should see?? It looks like they hold off the major things to do until the weekend of Halloween? :(

ToT Halloween candy idea

Here's a quick heads up for those of you that are looking for an idea for ToT giveaways and have a Fred Meyer store near you

We had large Lollipops in our store during the summer - they were 10 for $10 with a normal retail price of $1.99. they were then reduced to 47c each.

They are now on final reduction of 24c each! With regular candy bars being 75c each these are a steal

I got the last ones in our store... 36 lollipops for a cost of $8.64 !

Not sure but you may find them in Kroger stores also

Concerning The Halloween specials on QVC. We called them a couple of days ago and they couldn't find nothing in their computer system for those specials. So I'm assuming they will have it in October, probably the first of the month

Window Breakers??Where are they??

I saw an awesome window breaker at a yard haunt last year but don't know where it might be purchased...It was a head/torso and hands that were coming out of the window (attached somehow). I asked the lady where she bought it but didn't write it down! Any ideas? I know I could probably try to build this but don't have the time...Thank you everyone!
