The Morning Disease and the Workings of the Brain

I went to work this morning feeling so restless and disoriented. With my head throbbing and my stomach churning, I rode the killer bus that takes me to my building every morning. My office is a few blocks away from where I got off, but I was so not feeling well that I decided to ride a taxi. As I am typing this, I am feeling alright. The pain is bearable, but I'm scared that it might come back later in the afternoon.

I really don't want that to happen. I don't wanna puke all over the office.

My eyes are half-closed now while looking at the monitor. My fingers seem to have a mind of their own because they're moving over the keyboard spontaneously. I feel like I'm just sleepwalking through life these days...not that there's anything wrong with it.

This, I think, is my disease: my brain doesn't function as well it usually would when it's forced to think in the wee hours of the morning. I'm slowly trying to adjust to it. It's just that I always feel like it's taking my cerebellum a century to warm up to do the work.

I hope it would warm up soon.
