work...

So, I decided to start my sending out of emails early this year. Last year I only sent out one, to a local haunt, to work as a costume designer. They did hire me and made it pretty clear they wanted me to come back for this year. I did LOVE working there, but I feel like I missed the whole month, my favorite month of the year. This year I want to be home for Halloween, I want to spend time decorating the new house, going to stuff on the weekends with friends, seeing some of the other haunts in the area. So I've decided to just hire out to make costumes. I'm planning to have a costume sale out of my garage anyway, so as long as I'm sewing up a storm, I sent out emails to some of the other haunts letting them know I'd take custom work, too. Hopefully something will come of it. As far as the place I worked last year, if they're willing to let me come back to just make stuff for them and maybe work a couple nights or just come in to keep the shop up I'd snatch it up in a second. But I just don't want to be tied down every weekend and on Halloween this year.
