    While I might not get a new post up every day during the month of October, I will try.

    Maybe each week I'll do a different theme. Novelty, ambient, sound effects, music, mixes, kids stuff ... anybody want to make suggestions? This blog seems kind of devoid of comments.

    Also, check the Halloween countdown ... LOTS of blogs are celebrating with new posts everyday. It is impossible to keep up with them all, but we can try.

  3. Mastermix Grandmaster Halloween (2006)

    Again, I’m not sure where I ran across this particular mix of Halloween music, but it has proven to be one of my favorite mixes. Many of the songs are pretty typical … “Thriller”, “Psycho Killer”, “Monster Mash”, “The Timewarp”. Others are a little more unusual … “The Number of the Beast”, “Grimly Fiendish”, “Monster”. It’s a nice mix of the old and the new.

    What makes it such a fun mix is the variety ...

  5. Louise Huebner - Seduction Through Witchcraft (1969)

    Most of the scary albums I listen to are, let’s be honest, all in fun. This one is a little different, and it is fascinating. Louise Huebner is the “official witch of Los Angeles” … a title given to her in 1968. A year later, she recorded sort of a “how-to” for budding witches, and this is it.

    Louise does a nice job on this album, with the help of a little reverb and the music of Louis and Bebe Barron. ...
