We Canadians had many of the same candy, but some different.

The best was anything chocolate - in the 70's they were smaller than regular chocolate bars, but way bigger than the 'fun' size now! Smarties, coffee crisp, kit kats, mars bars were some of my faves. I never got to eat the reese's peanut butter cups - my Dad too his "daddy tax" and took mine and my brothers LOL! My ok pile were things like chiclets, rockets, tootsie rolls and tootsie pops. My ackkk throw in the garbage pile were Eatmore bars (they were like tar with peanuts!), turkish delight chocolate bars (yummm rose flavoured gelly covered in chocolate - YUCK!) and those horrible candy kisses - the hard beigy coloured candy in the orange and black wrappers (a couple ofpeople mentioned 'mary janes' I have never heard that here) - all of those hateful candies went in the garbage.

Oh my Mum's "tax" were kraft caramels. I was lucky to get one or two!

I only give out good stuff - lots of chocolate, chips and for filler candies, I give out chiclets and bubble gum.
